My performance

To me, it is always more easy the reading part, because is easiest to identify the words when they’re in a text. In this part I have 8 correct answers.

The most difficult part is the listening because it’s hard to me indentifies the words by their sound because sometimes they’re very different from the spelling.

In the vocabulary were many words that I didn’t know so I could learn a lot of new words.

I think that my performance isn’t that bad but it could be better. 

Play in education 

                  The news is about the play in education. It is a discussion, with different opinions about this topic, the principal idea is answer the question if the play is a help the teacher for the learning.

Today everybody knows the importance of play in education, for the learning and creative. The teachers usually using the play like the strategy for the children can significantly learn with their partners, so is very important for the creativity. In their homes, when they was baby explore, discover and learn across play. But the play to use more in the kindergarten and  primary school, and in the secondary education not using play because the curriculum is very formal, although some teachers use the play in secondary school, respect the curriculum. Is responsibility of teacher knows the importance of the play and use in the school.

               It is news very interesting for me, because many investigations mark than play is the learning tool most important in the first infancy and then can use the play in the secondary school, even in the University and in our life, somebody can learn across play.

               Today, the Chilean education system is very formal and boring, the child only learn of memory, for the answer test and have good mark and score in standardized test, but is necessary than learn for the life and grow as a person. It is an object of the education for me.

Books

          The true is than in this moment I don’t read anything than I like. Usually, when I am on academic period I don’t have any time for read a book or something I like, always read paper, article or books for the courses of the University, some are very interesting, but I don’t read for pleasure or hobby.

          I really like read many books, to inform or recreation, but when I am on vacation I like to read fantasy or action books. The last book I read was Harry Potter saga, The Twilight saga and Shadowhunters saga, and Beautiful Creatures saga.

   

          I like read the book, imagine the scenes and the character, and then watch the movies and compare. Always I read a book time goes fast, the book consumed me completely, the images in my mind no longer appear and my imagination fly.  

           Some years ago, I read the first book of Harry Potter (and the Philosopher`s Stone) and I read it in a week, because I spend most of the time reading, some night I don’t sleep and only stop for to eat or go to the bathroom . Now I took more time to finish reading a book because my son needs a lot of my time.

  

             For these vacations, I will want to read The Hunger Games saga, and if have time I will want read Hush Hush. 

A place in Santiago 

         Is very difficult for me choose a favorite place, because there are many places than I like  in Santiago, for example, the Supermarket, the “Parque Hogigins”, the park, the “Feria”, but I think than the place than most I like is the House of my parent.

        It may seem rare, but the true is than I live with my grandmother and grandfather, your house is a little small, it has a garden small and my room don`t has a door, so I can`t have privacy and can`t make noise in the night, for this it is very uncomfortable when I have read books or make academy works for the University. Also, I can never see my parents and I miss them.

        For this, my favorite place in Santiago is my parent’s house.  I always go with my son, because he also misses them. I like lunch with my parents, my brother and my sister, talk, laugh, and then I go to my room and sleep, watch TV or a movie, listen to music, or reset.

      I usually go every weekend, but, sometimes I don’t go because I have made many academy works I don’t have time to travel. The both houses are in Santiago, but in different communes, so take me two hours to the trip.

       The most I like of my parents house is my privacy, because always leave me alone in my room and they don’t get angry when I stay up later for read or make academy works. 

                   What make me happy?

                   Really, I have many things and moments than make me happy, I like enjoy with the simple things of the life, because I don’t know if the moments can happen again, or if the peoples can be with me for long time. For this, all the moments are very important for me.

                    Some things than make me happy are it would be with my family and friends, eat all kind of food, dance, listen to music and sleep.

                   But, if have choose one, I think than would be listen to music.

                   For me, listen to music is like a therapy, because when I am sad, the music it make me feel better, when I am angry or stressed the music it relax me, or if I am happy, the music make me dance. Sometimes I like to listen with headphones or sometimes I like to listen with megaphones, depend of my mood.

                   I like listen to music in all the moment, when I go to the University or my house in the bus, metro or when I walk.

                   The music helps me make better the thing of my house, for example, when I clean or order my room, when I have a cook or even when make the writing of reports for the University.                           Also, always the music makes me dance, so, this helps me for the exercise. The music make me very happy.

For me, this activity is entertaining. I liked answer the questions of text, but the reading part is less complicated than the listening part.  

The first and second part of reading it was a little easy than the last part (large text on courses), but can answer the most questions.

In the listening part it was very difficult and had the listen repeatedly to respond.

Finally, the last exercise of vocabulary help me to learn news words, but also it was a bit difficult for me. 

This topic is very difficult for me. The true is I`ve never thought about this, one person public or famous is not always worthy of admiration, but if a have to choose someone would be Ryan Hreljac.

 I knew him when I read a story on Internet. He was born in 1991 in Canada, when he was a child of six years his teacher told him about African and their life conditions like children of his age who die of thirst. This caught his attention and he decided to raised money to buy a water hole to Africans. After having saved enough money with his family and community, in 1999 it was built the first water hole. When he was nineteen years old he has already built 432 water hole in the  Africa continent. Today he have a foundation called “Ryan`s well” and have projects of education and built of water hole in more than sixteen countries of African Continent. 

For me he is a person very important in the world, because it has helped many African to improve their life conditions with something so basic as water. 

If a meet him some day  first I would ask him what was your main motivation to create the foundation, why he think the Africans have poor life conditions and who he can expands his foundation to more countries. 

If all people help a bit could make big changes. 

The best gift

I have received different gifts in my life that I like, such as clothes, food, chocolate, makeup or money, but if I have to choose the best, I think is my bed.

My previous bed was very old, it was made of wood and it was a bit broken, also the mattress was worn. Every night I slept very poorly, so in the day I was very tired and bad mood, also in the bed (1 place) I slept with my son, so he also slept very bad.

 Last year in my birthday, my parents gave to me a bed. I was very happy because finally I would be able to sleep well. Also, the bed is a “camarote” of 1 ½ place, so my son and I slept in separate beds. I sleep on the top bed, and my son sleep on the below bed.

I liked this gift because is very important to me have a place or bed for rest quietly. Now I can sleep all the night and I do not wake up in the middle of the night, also my son can sleep peacefully in his own bed.

I´m a person than enjoy rest and sleep, I like remove my shoes and tend in my bed, without doing anything, rest, watch TV or a movie and the thing most important, I can sleep all the time I want.

Because the bed is a recent gift it is in my room, and I think that I will use it for a long time.

The Education today..... 

The education is a topic very important for me.  I decided study Education when I was in secondary school, because I think that the education is the responsible of make up or educate the people of the society , so, for change the people and build a new society is necessary change the education, and, most important (or more specifically) is necessary change the teachers.  

Nowadays school is seen like a boring place and teachers are the "bad people of the movie" because the television shows negative situations like teachers who hit their students or scream all the time in classes and have really bad results (results in standard tests), and also the latest social movilizations of teachers but what is most important for the mass media are the "encapuchados" who destroy everything in the street and fight with the police.

I think those facts can be real but they are not the reality of the most of the teachers of the country. Because of that the society in Chile is very unhappy with the social mobilizations and because of that chilean people disagree or not understand the reason we fight against the system.

Children need to be free at school and learn what they need to be good people and the most important they need a school and teachers who teach them how to be happy no matter what they are, no matter where they come from neither how money have their fathers.

I believe that the Chilean system education can be change from inside and if we work together as a society.

My pets

I´m a person than always liked the animals. I was a child my dream was have a pet, as a dog or cat, but my first pet was a hamster when I had 10 years old. It was called Cremita, because was a color cream. Slept in my room and with my sister took care and gave food. Cremita lived with as 3 years and one day it escaped and never saw it again, is was a very sad.

Some years more later my mom bring a Dog, it name is Leo and 3 years later he was my father got another Dog, it name is Peca. My two dogs are very playful, It like walk for the street, run for the parks and eat many food. Peca is very naughty  and always braked all the clothes or the things in the garden.

I too have a cat, it name is Dona, it have a 2 years old and last years it was a mom, it have a five kitten, but my house is small, so we had to give away all the kitten when it were three months. It is very quiet, it likes receive attention and affection, always is sleeping and I don´t like the food.

I would like have a more pets, like other cat, hamster and Huron, because is very nice and playful animal. I would have a house and garden more big for have many pets.

A "Green Person"

In general, I’m not a “green person” and neither my family. We help with some practices, as separate plastic and paperboard from the other trash, turn off the lights when not used, reused the water of washing clothes for water plants and I also put the bottle in the toilet tank so I use less water when I flush the toilet.

I think that the little practices that the people can do are very important, but are worthless if there isn’t a shared awareness about the recycling and what it means to be a “green person”.

It is necessary make public policies, teaching good practices to recycle, reduce and reuse in schools as well in the home. Schools can teach to all their students to contribute to the protection of the environment. Once people understand completely that save the planet depends on us, they can start to make changes. This is easy to do, but the complicated part is to make that the businessmen understand that save the planet is more important that increasing their fortunes, because their constructions and new projects pollute the planet and the people.

People should use the bus, bicycle or just walk instead of us a car. I would like to contribute in these measures, but because of the time that it takes it is difficult. This is a challenge because people choose the fastest and easiest things. But these measures are necessary because they are related with the quality of life of all people.

                                                                     Fiestas Patrias 

I remember many celebrations of Fiestas Patrias. My family enjoy with celebrations, for example Christmas, New Year, birthday and Fiestas Patrias. what I remember The most  was a few years ago. specifically six years when I was eight months pregnant, and my stomach was so big, I couldn’t walk freely.

That year celebration in the house of my parents with my family, brother and sisters, grandparents, uncle and aunt, we ate mote con huesillos, barbecue, salad, patty and drank terremotos. We talk about life memory of past, We laugh, play cards and singed Karaoke. I liked because I enjoyed with all my family, we all got together anymore with for Fiestas Patrias. I enjoy celebrations with my family or friends in any place, but I prefer stay in my home. Few times I go to fondas because I don’t like places with many noisy or many peoples, I prefer places calm, with few people, a place for have a good time.

I liked this celebrations because the people enjoy and dance cueca, but they consume too much alcohol and accidents occur, is very dangerous.

For the future, in the next celebrations for fiestas patrias I would like go to the beach, with my son and my family, I never spent the holidays at the beach, is a place calm and so beautiful for enjoy with family. I would go to algarrobo, a the house of my mother work, would happen weather resting and walking for the beach.

September 11^th

For me…..

I think it is a very complex issue. The dictatorship was the darkest time in Chilean history for me, because  it occurs after than the human rights were promulgated. A time that violates every rights of the people, where no one was safe. I was born after the dictatorship ended, but my parents lived in this time and told me about that, it was a very difficult time. I think it doesn’t matter if you lived in this time or not, the important thing is to think about that, and if you are going to erect barricades, protest against the government or fight against the Special Forces you should do it thoroughly, for the memory of those who died or suffered during this time. If you go to fight only for destroy, I do not agree with that. Most of the people who tortured or killed people are free and still no justice is done, many unfinished cases that keep families of the victims live in peace, I think this is because the government of Chile and the people involved has done their best to keep it secret, but I still believe that one day they will pay for their sins.

I think that the most important of the protest march in this time is to understand the message, Chile can not return to live in dictatorship, never again.  

                                                          Isla de Pacua 

All my life i wanted to go Isla de Pascua.  When i was child I liked look the moais because are very freaky and seem little people. I like because is a place very nice and it is the largest island in Chile. Despite being considered of Chile, they are one a republic apart, because your laws, idiom, dance and custom.

I would go on vacation and learn the language and dances , because I think people are very happy and solidarity
