For me…..
I think it
is a very complex issue. The dictatorship was the darkest time in Chilean
history for me, because it occurs after
than the human rights were promulgated. A time that violates every rights of
the people, where no one was safe. I was born after the dictatorship ended, but
my parents lived in this time and told me about that, it was a very difficult
time. I think it doesn’t matter if you lived in this time or not, the important
thing is to think about that, and if you are going to erect barricades, protest
against the government or fight against the Special Forces you should do it
thoroughly, for the memory of those who died or suffered during this time. If
you go to fight only for destroy, I do not agree with that. Most of the people who
tortured or killed people are free and still no justice is done, many
unfinished cases that keep families of the victims live in peace, I think this is
because the government of Chile and the people involved has done their best to
keep it secret, but I still believe that one day they will pay for their sins.
I think that the most important of the protest
march in this time is to understand the message, Chile can not return to live
in dictatorship, never again.
i also hope they pay for what they have done
